Had some Yorkshire Gold tea this morning. Late yesterday afternoon I got tired of hanging around at home and went to Jack London square, did a little shopping, had an ice cream cone and hung out at my favorite Irish pub to listen to live traditional Irish music. In a little while I'm going to go out to meet my niece and a couple of friends of the family for lunch. I'm really looking forward to it!

I found out this morning that they intend to put something called window guards in the apartments. I realize they're meant to keep stupid little kids from falling out windows (the kids in my apt bldg run TOWARDS rats so I feel perfectly justified in calling them stupid) but I don't have any damn kids, why are they trying to put them in all the apartments? Plus, I have to have the window all the way open and the window box fan and stove fan on full blast every time I turn on the oven or the stove or the smoke alarm goes off. Of course they always wait till right at the beginning of a holiday weekend to pull this crap so I can't even talk to them about it till Tuesday. if it turns out this thing won't let me open the window all the way I'm going to have to have an "accident" happen to that thing real quick.

Having some Pride of the Port tea after having come back from getting some groceries at Trader Joe. It's really hot out and the dumb bus taking me back home took a really long time to show up. I'm too tired to go swimming now.

Nothing went as planned yesterday and the worst part was trying to go home at about 6 only to not be able to get into the bldg because there was a power outage which I wasn't even warned about by the fucking fools who run this place and the gates and elevators didn't work and the power was out till TWO THIRTY IN THE MORNING!!
Thank fuck I could call L. on my cell phone and they let me hang out at their house till I could take a bus back home.
Then I could only get about 3 or 4 hours sleep because PG&E would not stop fucking calling me on my home phone.

Last night I tried to make General Tso wings because I still miss the hell out of Monkey King. I had to look up a recipe online because I have several Chinese cookbooks but none of them had a recipe for General Tso wings. They came out OK but not anywhere near as good as Monkey King.
Also, I recently bought a kind of cookie I love and haven't had in ages and found out they shrank.
Just finished taking my laundry out of the dryers, haven't quite finished putting it away yet, then I'm going to eat lunch, go to the store to get eggs and potatoes which I forgot to get yesterday, watch MST3K and Frasier and go swimming if I have the energy.

The art show was great, so was this pizza place across the street from the art show.

Got some stuff taken care of, when I get my second wind I'm going to go swimming. Also, yesterday I found out an artist I really like and hadn't heard anything about for a long time is doing a show of his work tomorrow night. I'm going!

My kitchen sink was backing up all weekend so I had to ask them to fix it today. They haven't shown up yet. This time around I actually told them it was OK if they went in while I was out because I want to get together with L. today and if they're not available I think I may go to the library.
