The apt bldg party was boring. They said they would play games and they didn't, they said there would be music and there wasn't and they didn't even get the right kind of cake. I had a LOT more fun with my friend last night, we went to this club and had drinks and listened to awesome music and my friend danced (I would have but my leg is too fubar). We were going to go to Toronado and Memphis Minnie's to get beer and barbecue today but my friend postponed till tomorrow; she was out a lot later than I was.

Had some butterscotch caramel tea. I think tomorrow I will go over to Lower Haight and have beer at Toronado and barbecue at Memphis Minnie's.

Not much going on here. They're doing another one of those apt bldg parties tomorrow, I might as well go over there then.

Really wore myself out getting groceries but it was worth it, got some good stuff. Just finished a very nice lunch of pasta w/chicken and vegetables.

Just a quick entry today before I have a lot of stuff to do including pay rent, take out garbage and do laundry.

I've been watching some great stuff on TV lately, mostly comedies. I also had fun with my friend in Japantown yesterday and when I went out this morning to get a few groceries I found a 20 dollar bill!!

Look! I remembered to post before December started this year!

Hello, friends! It's about to be December again, and you know what that means: the fact I am posting this actually before December 1 means [staff profile] karzilla reminded me about the existence of linear time again. Wait, no -- well, yes, but also -- okay, look, let me back up and start again: it's almost December, and that means it's time for our annual December holiday points bonus.

The standard explanation: For the entire month of December, all orders made in the Shop of points and paid time, either for you or as a gift for a friend, will have 10% of your completed cart total sent to you in points when you finish the transaction. For instance, if you buy an order of 12 months of paid time for $35 (350 points), you'll get 35 points when the order is complete, to use on a future purchase.

The fine print and much more behind this cut! )

Thank you, in short, for being the best possible users any social media site could possibly ever hope for. I'm probably in danger of crossing the Sappiness Line if I haven't already, but you all make everything worth it.

On behalf of Mark, Jen, Robby, and our team of awesome volunteers, and to each and every one of you, whether you've been with us on this wild ride since the beginning or just signed up last week, I'm wishing you all a very happy set of end-of-year holidays, whichever ones you celebrate, and hoping for all of you that your 2026 is full of kindness, determination, empathy, and a hell of a lot more luck than we've all had lately. Let's go.

This afternoon I'm getting together with a friend and we're going to hang out in Japantown and get noodles and then go to this cool wine bar on Fillmore. (My friend also wants to shop for mangas.)

I've been watching the MST3K Turkey Day marathon but they keep running the host sequences and not the movie sequences which makes no sense to me.
Thanksgiving was awesome as hell. The food was excellent and the company was great! They even gave me flowers!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!
Just making a quick entry here while I make breakfast. I will be going into SF to meet some of my family for dinner this afternoon, I just need to leave earlier than I otherwise would because buses and Bart trains and public transit in general likes to take their time on holidays (and the hospital shuttle isn't running at all).

Song that describes my day:
"Yer Blues"--the Beatles
well, some days....

I'll have a good day if I hear:
"Amsterdam"--David Bowie

Somewhere in my wedding vows, I will include lyrics from:
"East West"--Paul Butterfield Blues Band
haha, that song has no lyrics but I'm less likely to get married than a dead pope

My alter-ego can be described by this song:
"Come Together"--the Beatles
oookkkkkayyyy....

Right now I feel:
"Baby Please Don't Go"--the Amboy Dukes
not really

My theme song:
"Laugh, Laugh" --the Beau Brummels
since this song is about somebody's ex who got treated very badly by the new lover it doesn't really have anything to do with me

The story of my life is:
"I'll Be Back"--the Beatles

My friends describe me with this song:
"Whipping Post"--Allman Bros.
god, I hope not!

At my funeral they will play:
"the Passenger"--Iggy Pop

When I'm drunk I dance to:
'Skull Ring"--Iggy Pop
my leg is too fucked to even drunk dance but this would be a good song for drunk dancing

The love of my life was inspired by the song:
"Lakeside Park"--Rush
not really but it's a great song

High School was like:
"YYZ"--Rush
what?

My family is described by the song:
"Gunslinging Bird"--Charles Mingus
uh, no

To cheer myself up, I listen to:
"Manhattan Project"--Rush
no! it's a great song but not at all cheerful given the subject matter
